About

If you have accessed a domestic abuse safe accommodation service (Refuge or Sanctuary for example) then you can access counselling specifically tailored to men, women and children who have experienced domestic abuse.

Before counselling is offered, you will be asked to complete an assessment to see whether it is suitable for you at this time.

There are a variety of programmes that you may be offered, and these may be on a one-to-one or group basis.

important

In an emergency, you should always dial 999. If you are worried that an abuser may overhear your call you can remain silent, tap the phone and dial 55 when prompted by the operator who will send help.

If you are deaf, hard of hearing or speech-impaired you can register with emergencySMS.net. You will then be able to send a text to 999 if you require help in an emergency.
